No. Mkufunzi POS works on any device with a browser: desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. If you want receipt printing, any standard thermal printer works. Barcode scanners and cash drawers are supported but optional.

What happens if my internet goes down?

Mkufunzi POS is cloud-based and optimized for Kenyan connectivity. Transactions are queued during brief outages and synced automatically when your connection returns. We also provide offline mode guidance for areas with unstable internet.

Is Mkufunzi POS compliant with KRA eTIMS?

Yes. Our DigiTax module provides full KRA eTIMS integration. Every invoice is automatically submitted to KRA with proper VAT, WHT, and Excise Duty calculations. You stay compliant without lifting a finger.

Can I migrate from my current system?

Yes. We support CSV/Excel imports for products, customers, and opening balances. Our team will help you migrate your data at no extra cost. Most businesses are up and running within 24 hours.

Is my data secure?
